Scenes from the Dalmatian Coast: Boats
Boats bobbed in the harbors and inlets along the Dalmatian Coast. The harbor on the island of Hvar docked yacht after yacht, each seemingly bigger than the first. I was more taken by the working class nature of Croatian fishing boats, peeling paint and all. Most boats serve as the direct connection to their owner's livelihood and are rugged in a stark, appealing way.
